In the Planning department, we receive orders from customers who want to connect to our power grids, ranging from individual homes to large industries. We are also responsible for renovation and new construction of the grid, with a focus on strategic choices and maintaining pace in our expansion plan. We need to map out and develop our processes, digitalize and streamline our work methods, and since the expansion pace of the power grid is high, we need you!
Your Responsibilities
You step into an operation with high expertise and strong motivation, where you set the direction and create even better conditions. The department consists of 14 employees, with a group manager leading the connection group. Together you work closely to drive development forward and create an efficient and well-functioning operation. Of course, you have a place in the business area's management team and thus get to influence our strategic development.
You lead development work with a focus on clearer structures, smarter work methods, and shorter lead times. You think business, dare to challenge when needed, and drive development forward.
You motivate and lead the team according to ESEM's mission and expectations for managers and leaders, bringing people along, building trust, and strengthening what already works well.
You support employees in their contact with external stakeholders such as the municipality or major customers.

Education and Previous Experience
We are looking for someone who can quickly see what needs to happen and takes action. When many demands pull in different directions, you step forward, prioritize, and point the way forward. You make decisions, follow up, and don't let go until it has an effect. At the same time, you stay close to the people around you, building trust, being straightforward, and getting others to take responsibility. You don't lead by pushing, but by being clear, consistent, and being someone people choose to follow.
You have an engineering degree at university or master's level. We would like your education to be in energy systems, electrical power, or similar.
You have several years of management experience in the power grid industry or several years of management experience in another industry. It is beneficial if you are experienced with change management.
