Senior Project Manager - AB Byggbeslag Lås & Säkerhet
About Byggbeslag Byggbeslag is a family-owned and well-reputed company with a long history and a strong market position in locks, security, hardware, and materials. Our culture is defined by our core values of Together, Safe, and Secure. At the same time, we are undergoing a development journey where responsibility, authority, and drive are being moved closer to operations, and where our project activities are being strengthened and specialized. We are building a clearer national production organization for projects, with a focus on professional execution, profitability, and development. Our customers are primarily in the construction and contracting sectors, as well as in operations where requirements for security, documentation, and regulatory compliance are high. Your Assignment As Senior Project Manager, you will step into a brand new role in Byggbeslag's national production organization. You report to the National Production Manager and become a senior colleague to a project manager organization of approximately 15 project managers across the country. You will have full responsibility for some of our largest and most complex contracting and installation projects, where you are responsible for ensuring that time, budget, quality, contracts, and delivery are aligned from startup through completion and a profitable business outcome. The commercial perspective is central. You closely monitor budgets, forecasts, and margins, identify risks and opportunities, and act when something begins to deviate, not after the effect is already visible in results. You create clear requirements both internally and with the customer and ensure that changes are documented, managed, and commercialized at the right time. Contract law for construction projects, AB/ABT, Changes to Agreement (ÄTA) matters, and commercial negotiations are a natural part of the role. You have been in these situations before and know what is required when the contract is put to the test, when the other party has strong legal expertise, and when the project needs to be steered back on track. A growing portion of Byggbeslag's projects are within critical and security-sensitive operations, such as assignments related to critical infrastructure and public clients. There, structure, documentation, standards and regulatory compliance, and the ability to handle security requirements become an important part of project execution. In some projects, you will lead the entire scope yourself. In others, you may step in as a senior resource on particularly complex business, contract, or project matters and support the local project management. You will also be an important knowledge carrier who, together with the Production Manager, develops project managers and advances Byggbeslag's project methodology. The role is national and travel varies depending on where projects are located and what they require. There is no inherent need to travel, but you must be prepared to independently ensure that you are on site when it is critical to project success, more during certain periods and significantly less during others. Key parts of the assignment will be to: • lead Byggbeslag's largest and most complex contracting and installation projects from start to finish • take full responsibility for project economics, budgeting, forecasting, margins, and project financial results • identify risks, Changes to Agreement, and other deviations early and convert them into concrete actions • drive construction law, contractual, and commercial matters with confidence and integrity • create clear requirements and collaboration between customer, internal functions, suppliers, and subcontractors • manage projects with complex clients and high requirements for security, documentation, and regulatory compliance • provide senior support on particularly demanding project matters and contribute experience when the organization needs it • coach other project managers and, together with the Production Manager, develop project methodology, working methods, and business practices. Byggbeslag works with security-protected assignments at various Security Clearance (SUA) levels and has a dedicated security clearance organization. In this role, you must therefore be prepared for security vetting based on the assignments you work on. We Are Looking for Someone Who... has the experience built through many years in production and projects. You need to have built up seniority and have managed major contracts with your own responsibility for budget, contracts, resources, and customers. You do not need to know about locks or security. We are primarily seeking background from larger installation or contracting operations, such as electrical, plumbing and HVAC, ventilation, automation, sprinkler systems, infrastructure, or construction. We Want You to Have: • many years of experience in project management and production within installation or contracting • managed large and complex projects with your own financial result responsibility • very good understanding of project economics, budgeting, forecasting, margins, and risk • very good knowledge of construction contract law, AB/ABT, and practical Changes to Agreement handling • experience with commercial requirements setting, customer dialogue, negotiation, and difficult project situations • experience leading project organizations with many internal and external parties. Meritorious are experiences from critical infrastructure, security-protected assignments/SUA, and environments with high documentation requirements, as well as BAS-P/BAS-U, project manager certification, or training in construction contract law. As a Person To succeed and thrive in this role, you are: • business-driven and commercial, you see what affects profitability and take action • proactive and risk-aware, you stay ahead rather than explain after the fact • clear and confident in setting requirements, negotiating, and making decisions • structured and analytical even in complex and long-term projects • communicative, relationship-building, and unpretentious in collaboration • coaching and generous with your experience, you want others to grow.
