The Unit also has equipment for experimental mineralogy and mineral analysis, including furnace laboratory, X-ray diffractometer, Mössbauer spectrometer, and FTIR spectrometer. Ongoing research projects focus on crustal evolution, planetary science, and low-temperature geochemistry. The Unit also conducts research in mineralogy, primarily focused on mineral systematics and mineral chemistry, and manages one of Europe's largest mineral collections. 1 position(s).
