Personal Mentor and Leader Wanted for a Unique and Engaging Assignment
This is a tailored assistant role for you who wants to combine your pedagogical talent with a deep commitment to one child's full development and learning, while having a great time! The work involves being mentally active and solving pedagogical challenges! You have the freedom to be creative in the truest sense of the word, work and think independently, analyze, and create the best possible conditions for learning & development for a charming, curious 8-year-old with great capacity for growth, in a school environment! You analyze, test ideas, create your own materials, teach and learn, evaluate and adjust until you find what works for this individual. Your assignment as a personal assistant to a school-age child will be to develop reading, writing, mathematics, communication, problem-solving, independent thinking and all kinds of intellectual activity at the right level. The child is often misunderstood because of their uneven knowledge and difficulties in communicating it. The child's actual abilities are often greater than the surroundings have time to discover. Therefore, one of your most important tasks is to make sure they become visible. You interpret in two different directions. A large part of the role is also to keep the child safe in all the ways it means for this particular individual. You are responsible for the child's all needs throughout the school day. You are also responsible for continuous supervision. You stay one step ahead, identify risks and analyze situations quickly. At the same time, you help the child dare to try themselves and develop increasing independence without compromising safety. The difference between a student assistant and this role is that you work for and with the child – not for the school. Therefore, the assignment is based on deep personal knowledge. Previous experience with functional variations and low-affective interaction is not essential in this assignment. You learn how this particular child thinks, communicates, is motivated and absorbs new knowledge. You then use that knowledge to turn every lesson and every situation during the school day into an opportunity for development. You talk constantly with the child. You put words to what you do, what happens, what the child sees and wonders about. You know that language develops through use. You are both physically and intellectually active, attentive, stay close and are quick to act. If you enjoy teaching, innovative methods, problem-solving, repetition and finding new ways when others get stuck, you will likely love this assignment. We are looking for someone who sees possibilities, takes initiative and is driven enough to turn ideas into action! Family assistants often stay for several years because they often "fall in love" with the work as the assignment offers intellectual stimulation, great freedom and the opportunity to closely follow a child's development, but also great responsibility and with it the satisfying feeling of being important and making a real difference. They often become both very close friends to the child and to the small family they work for. "Today we solved something the child actually couldn't do before! Hurray!" We place the greatest emphasis on your personality, your drive, your energy, mental capacity and pedagogical intuition! You will thrive with us if you: are a natural leader, have a genuine interest in pedagogy, children's learning and development, love to communicate and talk, think for yourself, take initiative and see possibilities where others see limitations, are curious, analytical and enjoy developing methods when something doesn't work. understand the important boundary between helping and making passive. Although the assignment is based on the child's school life, you also accompany them on doctor's visits, TV recordings and other things that happen on days when the child is not in school. This is because no day is the same! We hope this is something you think makes the work even more fun. Working hours, employment level and salary: The current employment form is "as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment level of approximately 25-100% by agreement. Work is scheduled on weekdays. Schedule and employment level are determined by agreement between the work supervisor and assistant. Introduction and Training: Starting date and introduction take place by agreement before the actual schedule comes into effect in early September. We offer: At Humana, it is important that both you as an assistant and the customer feel secure in the collaboration. Therefore, as a new assistant, you receive an introduction tailored to both your professional role and the customer you will work with. You also have access to relevant training and the opportunity to develop in your role – so that you have good conditions to thrive and feel secure in your work. Humana has collective agreements, insurance and wellness benefits. What happens now?
