About the Workplace We are a unit with two distinct parts – the Acute Care Unit and the Urgent Care Clinic – but with a shared mission: to provide safe and skilled care to residents of Västmanland who need us. The Acute Care Unit has 9 beds (with possibility for overflow) and is responsible at night for emergency assignments within the hospital. Average length of stay is approximately 2–4 days. The Urgent Care Clinic is an adult medical clinic open day and evening, every day of the year. Patients of all ages with all types of complaints come here - but with a focus on adults. Patients are assessed and referred to the appropriate care level when needed. We are small enough that you can see the whole picture, but large enough to offer breadth and development. We work closely with other units in the care chain and have a strong culture of collaboration, responsibility, and patient focus.
