What You Can Expect From Us Good working hours – no split shifts Personal atmosphere, short decision-making paths, and freedom with responsibility Small teams with close collaboration and present team leaders Generous wellness package Secure terms through collective agreement An opportunity to grow – three out of four leaders at Aleva started as care assistants What Does the Job Involve? The days are varied with great opportunity to contribute to people's quality of life. You provide support, help with practical tasks, and offer service based on customers' needs and wishes. The most important thing is that you enjoy building relationships and are good with people. What Background Do I Need? For some, this might be a great chance to get a first job. There's no single answer – we recruit people with a solution-focused mindset, empathetic values, and who want to grow with us. Does it matter if I don't have relevant experience? Of course, we see it as positive if you've worked in healthcare/care and done it well! Education as a nurse assistant or equivalent is also a merit but not a requirement. Isn't working in home care very tough? It certainly can be, and that's how development in healthcare and care generally looks. That was also one of the reasons we started in 2013 – with a conviction that we can do things a little differently and continually improve our operations with a focus on those we exist for – the elderly. And how do you do that? Take care of your employees, of course. That's why it's especially heartwarming that we received 9 out of 10 on pride in working at Aleva and 9.5 out of 10 on whether our customers would recommend us to a friend. About Us Aleva is a growing company with great visions. We want to create the future of care through innovative thinking and a clear focus on living – not just surviving. The company was founded in 2013 and today provides home care in the Umeå area, Holmsund-Obbola, and Nordmaling, as well as personal assistance throughout the country. To fit with us, the most important thing is that you are unpretentious, engaged, and have a genuine desire to work with people. We have a personal atmosphere with short decision-making paths and the opportunity for significant freedom with responsibility. We are an ambitious team with a positive atmosphere working together to deliver world-class care. For more information, visit www.alevaomsorg.se

Work as a Homework Helper in Uppsala!

Want to make a difference? 19,700 students did not complete primary school in Sweden during the 2024/2025 school year. There are schools where 7 out of 10 students do not meet upper secondary school eligibility requirements. At the nonprofit Stiftelsen Läxhjälpen, you contribute your skills and commitment to help more students achieve eligibility requirements with confidence in their future. We are now recruiting new homework helpers in Uppsala! We are looking for someone interested in a paid part-time job while also making a concrete societal contribution. The position is an hourly contract for afternoons/evenings and involves being a homework helper after school at one of our partner schools. You work as part of a team of three homework helpers, all of whom are university students. You will receive training in and work according to our structured approach. Each homework help group consists of 15 students, and together with your colleagues, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the work. As a homework helper, you can either work as a regular homework helper or as a substitute. As a regular homework helper, you work 6 hours per week spread across two scheduled afternoons/evenings (opportunities for extra substitution shifts are available). As a substitute, you work when regular homework helpers are on leave or sick. The work is performed after school in the school's facilities. We are looking for someone who: - Is a university or college student - Has pedagogical ability and can communicate and build relationships with children and young people. - Is solution-oriented, takes initiative, and can work according to our structured approach and method. - Has broad fundamental subject competence and good study techniques. - Shares Stiftelsen Läxhjälpen's values and vision of a society where all children grow up with the conditions to succeed in school and shape their own future. Since the job involves working with children, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. Providing an extract from the police criminal record for the employer is a legal requirement for working with children and young people. Differences between schools, where you live, where you come from, and what your parents do increasingly determine how likely you are to succeed in school. Stiftelsen Läxhjälpen is a nonprofit foundation that operates where it is needed most. Homework help is free for students, and homework helpers' salaries are financed through support from the business sector and public sector. Homework help is a concrete measure that addresses one of Sweden's biggest problems today—more and more young people are not succeeding in school and risk being excluded from society. Carefully selected, paid university students help young people with their studies two evenings a week and are also positive role models and mentors. Since our start in 2007, we have developed a structured approach and a clear goal—to improve grades and help students advance to upper secondary school. We are currently present at over 90 schools in, among others, Stockholm, Södertälje, Västerås, Norrköping, Gothenburg, Landskrona, Umeå, Sundsvall, Uppsala, Gävle, and Malmö.
