What you will do
In your role as a programmer, you will develop, test, and deploy control systems and PLC solutions, often working in projects together with technicians, engineers, and installers. You'll be involved from requirements and design through to final delivery and follow-up with the customer. The work is varied and includes both office work and close contact with the field.
Program, configure, and maintain PLC systems (e.g., ABB, Siemens, Mitsubishi) for various types of facilities
Participate in projects together with electrical and automation colleagues, from preliminary studies to commissioning
Troubleshoot, test, and document code, control logic, and functions in a structured way
Work closely with installers and technicians during commissioning, optimization, and upgrades
Contribute to the development and improvement of standards, function blocks, and internal working methods
Provide technical expertise in customer meetings and help find solutions that work in practice

Your profile
We are looking for someone who thrives in a technical environment where your code has a direct impact on real facilities and systems. You have a structured approach to work, like to follow up on your solutions, and are thorough with both functionality and documentation. At the same time, you are communicative, attentive, and enjoy working closely with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
At least 4 years of experience programming in PLC environments in process facilities, with experience developing, testing, and maintaining code
Post-secondary education in data technology, programming, automation/PLC, systems development, or equivalent work experience
Basic understanding of electrical power, electrical installation, or industrial/technical systems, preferably with practical electrical background
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and ability to document clearly and comprehensibly
Experience working in projects together with technicians, engineers, or installers
Meritorious knowledge

The position is based in Skara, with Provektor as your home base. Here you work close to both colleagues and customers in the region, while also being part of a larger group with projects and collaborations at the national level. The role involves primarily work in and around Skara, with some flexibility in working methods depending on projects and customer assignments.
