Family Treatment Specialist for the Presence Team in Malmö City
Ref: 20261688 Do you want the chance to make a difference for children and families in Malmö? As we are now expanding with 2 additional family treatment specialists on our Presence Team, here's your opportunity to apply for a position where you can truly make a difference! The Presence Team is a support service aimed at children in grades 2-9 with extensive and often long-term school absenteeism. The intervention begins with a thorough assessment that then guides the work. Depending on the child's situation, work is conducted directly focusing on returning to school at home, or alternatively with instruction in the Presence Team's facilities as a first step in breaking isolation. The Presence Team started as an ESF-financed project focused on grades 7-9. Based on positive results, the departments have decided to make the work method an ordinary activity, and also to expand with family treatment resources for grades 2-6. Malmö City's Presence Team is organizationally part of the Employment and Social Services Department (ASF) and the Primary School Department (GRF). As a family treatment specialist, you are employed by the Employment and Social Services Department in the Family Interventions unit. When the current positions are filled, the Presence Team will consist of 5 family treatment specialists, 5 teachers, 1 special educator, 1 coordinator, and 2 section managers. Duties The Presence Team is an intervention based on collaboration. Here you work together with teachers and a special educator to help children and young people break isolation and increase school attendance. As a family treatment specialist, you are responsible for conducting treatment from a systemic perspective to increase protective factors and reduce risk factors related to school absenteeism. Treatment is conducted in various configurations; primarily with the young person and guardian as well as other relevant people in the system. Network work and collaboration, particularly with home school but also with, for example, child rehabilitation services and child and adolescent psychiatry, are also central parts of the work. Treatment is conducted at the office but also in the home environment, outdoors, and in the facilities of respective collaboration partners. When needed, some work is also conducted outside regular office hours. As a team member in the Presence Team, you will have great opportunities to structure and plan your work, based on shared responsibility for the team's functioning and development. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another university education that the employer deems equivalent. You have documented experience in family treatment and extensive experience collaborating with schools and other relevant actors. You have a strong interest in, and experience with, work addressing problematic school absenteeism and flexibility in understanding these issues. You have very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. It is meriting if you have training in, and experience with, family therapy or CBT. It is also meriting to have experience working with interpreters and knowledge of languages other than Swedish. As a person, you are humble and curious, and interested in the world around you. You are relationship-building and have a high degree of professionalism. You place great emphasis on the whole picture and have a good ability to structure and formulate treatment goals. You are humble in the face of families' different living circumstances and flexible in finding viable ways forward. In your work group, you contribute your knowledge and support, and you are also open about areas where you feel less confident. You want to contribute to a workplace with great work joy and have an interest in development, questioning, and testing new methods. Given that the service has been a project that will transition to ordinary operations, you also need to be patient with change and accept that not all answers are always available from the beginning. About the Workplace The Family Interventions unit consists of 11 sections. The current positions are organized under section F, which consists of 12 family treatment specialists working with family treatment for all types of issues, of which 1 has a specific part-time coordination assignment linked to the Presence Team, as well as a coordinator and section manager. The Presence Team's facilities are located at Ekgatan 40 in Hindby, Malmö. If the work involves services for people over 18 years old, you must provide an extract from the criminal record and suspicion register. If the work involves services for children, you must submit an extract from the criminal record and suspicion register, which we will keep for 2 years, in accordance with applicable legislation. Hi! I'm an adult woman looking for a personal assistant who can be my extended arm, my extra drive, and sometimes – my invisible shadow. The position is part-time with shifts scheduled during day and evening hours. Since I live a bit outside the city (where public transportation is mostly nowhere to be found), it's a must that you have a driver's license and your own car. Who am I and who will you share the day with? I live with my family and our big dog. In other words, you must be comfortable with dogs and not be bothered by some dog hair or a wagging tail. Since we appreciate fresh air in this house, you also need to be completely smoke-free. What are my support needs and your work tasks? I'm a woman living with several autoimmune diseases that manifest in pain, exhaustion, a weakened immune system, and gradually break down my body. I move around with the help of my electric wheelchair. Some days I experience much more pain and need support to rest, take it easy, and have a safe and calm day. Other days I have less pain and then appreciate an assistant who can contribute with inspiration, initiative, and company in daily life. I absolutely cannot be stressed, and you must be attentive to my health status since my condition can quickly take a turn for the worse. Who am I looking for? (Your superpowers) I'm looking for someone who has care experience and has worked in the field before. You don't need to have all the answers, but you should be self-sufficient and have that magical life sense that makes you see when the laundry pile needs sorting or the coffee needs brewing – without me needing to point it out. It's important that you, working for me, don't have your own physical or mental limitations, as you need to help me with transfers and also be able to take quick instructions and make sound decisions on your own when my health condition suddenly deteriorates. Your schedule with me: We have a rolling four-week schedule (week 36 corresponds to week 1 of the base schedule) and your working hours are: week 1 - Wed; 15:00-22:30 and Fri; 08:00-15:00 week 2 - Sun; 10:00-16:30 week 3 - Fri; 08:00-16:00 week 4 - Tue; 16:00-22:30 The most important qualities for us to get along are: - Sensitivity and intuition: You have mastered the most difficult art of the assistance profession – being there and helping, but also knowing exactly when it's time to step back and give me and my family privacy. - Personal maturity: You keep to schedules (my day stops if you're late), respect confidentiality, and have great patience. - Security and respect: You're attentive and always work with my integrity in focus. In short: I'm looking for a mature, driven personal assistant with both feet on the ground who can spread good energy in my home, but who also has the skill of being "a fly on the wall." Does that sound like you? Send your CV, your references, and a personal letter with this application and tell me about yourself. Feel free to explain why you're my new personal assistant!

About the research project Several projects are currently recruiting: - SSF project (funded by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research) on enabling collaboration between teams of humans and autonomous systems. The goal is to design principles for effective coordination in future work environments where humans and machines interact more closely. The project may involve performing empirical studies with humans, developing run-time models that software-intensive systems can use to reason about coordination, designing methods to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats, and running experiments for evaluation. Two postdoc positions will be funded by this project. - VR project (funded by the Swedish Research Council Vetenskapsrådet) on making self-adaptive systems aware of end users' expectations. The goal is to design a language to describe expectations using formal modelling methods, develop methods to understand the needs of human users and to explain a system's actions, and evaluate the contributions using simulations and physical robots. - WASP project on Human-in-the-Loop Autonomous Systems (funded by WASP). The topic will be related to the other projects and require knowledge in software architecture, self-adaptive systems, and requirements engineering. Two postdoc positions will be funded by this project. Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) is Sweden's largest individual research program ever, a major national initiative for strategically motivated basic research, education and faculty recruitment. The program addresses research on artificial intelligence and autonomous systems acting in collaboration with humans, adapting to their environment through sensors, information and knowledge, and forming intelligent systems-of-systems. The vision of WASP is excellent research and competence in artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and software for the benefit of Swedish society and industry.
