We are seeking a specialist physician who wants to participate in driving and developing operations at the Primary Care Departments in Region Uppsala. The position is a permanent employment at 50-100% with start date by agreement. We welcome your application! Our Operations The Primary Care Departments in Region Uppsala are part of the Primary Care and Health Administration, and currently there are three departments in the region. The Primary Care Department in Uppsala is located in the beautiful Ulleråker area in Uppsala and has 30 care beds. The Primary Care Unit in Tierp is located adjacent to the Health Center in Tierp and has 18 care beds. The Primary Care Department in Östhammar is located at the Health Center in Östhammar and is co-financed with Östhammar Municipality, where the region provides physician services and the municipality provides other care personnel. The department has 18 care beds. The primary care beds are primarily aimed at elderly patients who need inpatient care but do not require hospital resources for investigation. Patients arrive either by referral from primary care, by direct admission from a Mobile Primary Care Team, or from the emergency department at Akademiska Hospital. The average length of stay is approximately one week. The Primary Care Departments work closely together with a primary care perspective. Ensuring that our patients' care needs are met even after they leave the department is a very important part of our work.
