Security Technician at Österåker Prison

About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand facilities, and inmate transportation. The Stockholm East operational area encompasses two closed prisons: Österåker and Täby. Inmates at the prisons are occupied with education, treatment programs, workshop activities, and assembly and packaging assignments. Österåker Prison is in an exciting expansion phase with new prison facilities and activity centers being commissioned between 2025 and 2027. Job Description As a security technician in the Stockholm East operational area, you work with high-tech, network-connected security systems and share responsibility with your colleague for local development, operation, maintenance, replacements, service, self-inspections, and troubleshooting. This includes master alarm systems, communication systems, assault alarm systems, CCTV/camera systems, image storage servers, alarm and access control systems, and internal and external telephone systems. You also work with networks, physical and virtual servers, storage, and network monitoring. The role also includes access administration, documentation, record management, inventory and control of security-related equipment, such as keys, and hardware support.
