Postdoctoral Researcher in Nuclear Power Technology

Job Responsibilities We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on the development of experimental methods for two-phase flows. We aim to develop a probe for measuring void fraction and velocity under prototypical reactor conditions. The work includes developing methods for manufacturing miniature sensors and using these sensors in the HWAT facility. The HWAT facility was developed to study thermohydraulic phenomena relevant to small modular reactors (SMR). The work is part of a collaborative project in Europe and a national project supported by the Swedish Nuclear Power Regulatory Authority (SSM). Qualifications Requirements Completed doctoral degree or foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. This qualification requirement must be fulfilled by the time the employment decision is made. Doctoral degree in experimental nuclear engineering, micromechanics, sol-gel chemistry, experimental thermohydraulics. Merits At the deadline, no more than three years since completing a doctoral degree or a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. Knowledge and experience in experimental investigation of two-phase flows, sol-gel coating, micromechanical manufacturing, high-frequency signal processing.
