The Function Support Department is responsible for support, services, and interventions for people with disabilities. Within the department are the operational areas: Investigation Unit Function Support LSS/SoL, Social Psychiatry, Children, Youth and Short-term Care, Special Housing LSS, Personal Assistance, and Day Activities. This position is placed within the Function Support Special Housing LSS operational area, which consists of group homes and service residences for adults with decisions under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons. The operational area is led by an Operations Manager and currently includes 30 units geographically distributed across Gävle Municipality. The units are led by 13 unit managers, and the operational area is growing with several planned new openings in the coming years. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Special Housing LSS operational area is expanding, and we are now adding one additional unit manager. As a unit manager, you have an important mission where you lead, develop, and create conditions for high-quality operations. You have full operational responsibility for up to three units, which means responsibility for quality, economics, employees, and work environment. The operational area is in a development phase with several planned new openings in the coming years, which gives you the opportunity to contribute to the operational area's continued development. Together with your team members, you create operations where each customer is met with respect, participation, and support based on their individual needs and circumstances. Your work tasks include: • lead, plan, follow up, and develop operations based on LSS, the organization's goals, and decisions made • have personnel responsibility including work environment, competence supply, and rehabilitation • be responsible for the operation's budget and finances • ensure high quality in care, support, and pedagogical approach • drive systematic quality and improvement work • ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with LSS, governance documents, and decisions made • collaborate with internal and external actors, such as habilitation, psychiatry, and day activities • be a present leader and promote a supportive, trusting, and development-oriented work culture. Together with the other unit managers, you are part of the operational area's management group led by the Operations Manager. Work in the management group focuses on common issues, which means you are engaged in the entire operational area's results and development. You work closely with your management colleagues, collaborate on operational issues, share experiences, and support each other. In your daily work, you receive support from both coordinators and planners. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a present and engaged leader who, through your actions, creates safety, participation, and engagement. You lead with trust, dialogue, and care, promote learning and development, and lead operations toward established goals. To be qualified for this position, you have the following education, experience, and knowledge: • University or college education in healthcare, social care, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. Alternatively, other education combined with work experience deemed equivalent. • Experience working as a manager and leader with responsibility for operations, finances, employees, and work environment. • Good knowledge of LSS, the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons. • Experience working with the target group covered by LSS. It is a merit for the position if you have experience starting up and leading a new operation.
