Uppsala University, Department of Medical Sciences Description of the Subject Area Hematology is a central clinical and academic subject area with strong connections to both research and education as well as to highly specialized care. The subject encompasses diagnosis and treatment of malignant and benign blood disorders, including leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma and myelodysplastic syndromes as well as stem cell transplantation and advanced cell therapy. We are now recruiting a specialist nurse in psychiatry for the Affective Disorders Clinic. At the Affective Disorders Clinic, we treat patients with bipolar disorder. We collaborate closely with inpatient care and strive for high accessibility. The clinic has five specialist doctors, three nurses, and one psychologist. Work Tasks As a nurse, you will work with talk therapy for patients with bipolar disorder. The work is largely done independently but always in collaboration with the patient's regular doctor and, if needed, other team members. We have supervision every two weeks. Some medication management is included in the work. We also work with psychoeducational group treatment, so-called Patient and Family Education, which requires organized work before, during, and after treatment.
