The Surgery Department at Sunderby is one of the largest workplaces in the region. Now we are looking for you who are a trained nurse and want to continue your education to become an operating room nurse! We are looking for someone interested in developing your profession and has a great interest in expanding your knowledge about surgical care! What we are looking for You are a licensed nurse with the authority to apply for specialist training in surgical care. Experience is an asset but not required. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You see service and flexibility as a matter of course and have a sense of order and organization. You have a feel for teamwork and the ability to build good relationships and can handle stressful situations. What you will be working with Work in the operating room is exciting and educational. As a trainee, you will gain close insight into the work of an operating room nurse. You will go through a program where the focus is to gain deeper insight into the operating room nurse profession. The program includes some theory in the following areas: hygiene, patient safety, work at the sterile processing department, instrument handling, operating tables, medical-technical equipment, and an overview of the different types of procedures that occur in the various surgical specialties. The trainee period transitions (if desired) into employment with us based on your acquired competence.
