Your Assignment As a clinical nurse specialist in intensive care at CIVA, your primary responsibility is to care for our hospitalized patients with failure of vital functions. You work in a patient-centered manner as part of a team with nursing assistants, intensive care physicians, and physiotherapists, delivering advanced intensive care based on each patient's needs. Beyond this, you participate in CIVA's hospital-wide assignments. Within Adult Emergency Response, you may serve as the emergency response nurse coordinator and work with intensive care physicians in acute interventions throughout the hospital, where quick decisions and good collaboration are essential. You also participate in the post-intensive care follow-up team (PIG), where we follow up with patients after their discharge from ICU. This fall, we are launching a pilot program with a mobile intensive care team (MIG). At C-op and DKM, approximately 4,500-5,000 operations are performed annually, primarily surgery and orthopedics but also some urology. Sterile Technique handles goods from surgical departments, care units, and clinics at the hospital as well as from all health centers in Region Dalarna. We maintain close collaboration with other clinics and also provide external services at the hospital including sedation/anesthesia at clinics, emergency response teams, and advanced care during secondary transfers to other hospitals. With us, you will meet and care for patients in need of both acute and planned postoperative care, with a focus on upper and lower gastroenterological, thoracic, vascular, urology, ENT, and oncological surgery patients. The department has 18 care beds and, if needed, two overflow beds.
