About the Role As Business Controller, you will have a business-focused and developmental role where you combine classic business controlling with a strong interest in systems, data, and problem-solving. The role is split approximately 75% Business Controlling and 25% Finance IT, making it particularly interesting for someone with an economics background who wants to go one step further to understand how the systems behind the numbers actually work. Your two closest colleagues also work in a shared role combining Business Controlling and Finance IT, and together you are part of the finance department, which consists of a total of 12 employees. Within Business Controlling, your main focus will be on understanding and improving profitability in NTEX's transport business. You work closely with operations and dive into detail level on individual shipments to analyze revenues, costs, and margins. When something deviates, your task is not just to identify it, but to understand why. The other part of the role is connected to NTEX's financial systems, particularly NetSuite and Medius. NTEX is still in a development phase with its systems, and ahead lies both new modules and continued rollouts internationally. You do not need to have worked in NetSuite or Medius previously. What matters is that you have a genuine IT and systems interest, can quickly grasp new solutions, and enjoy understanding how financial processes, data, and systems connect. When more advanced programming or specialized expertise is required, external consultants are available to assist. We are looking for someone who: Holds a bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, finance, or another relevant field Has at least 5 years of experience as a Business Controller To succeed in this role, you need analytical thinking, curiosity, and eagerness to contribute to continuous improvements. You have strong communication skills and fluent English is essential; it's a bonus if you speak additional languages. You enjoy working with details but never lose sight of the bigger picture. You enjoy collaboration and have a positive outlook. You have a clear systems interest and are comfortable with ERP systems, BI tools, and large data sets. If you have previously participated in a system implementation, been a super-user, or served as a bridge between Finance and IT, that is a merit. Experience with NetSuite, Medius, or Power BI is also positive, but not required. The role involves many contact points, which means you need to be comfortable proactively seeking out the right people, asking questions, challenging when necessary, and standing behind your conclusions. If you have previously worked in transport or logistics, that's a plus, as is experience from a larger or international organization. However, the most important thing is the combination of business understanding, analysis, and a genuine interest in systems.
