Our Operations The Acute Pediatric Care section consists of acute care ward 95 E, the acute clinic for children and young people, and specialized pediatrics 95 E. On the acute care ward, we care for, treat and evaluate children and adolescents 0–18 years old who need a few days of hospital care. Common patient groups are children with infections, kidney or heart problems. At the acute clinic for children and young people, we receive children and adolescents with acute medical, orthopedic and surgical diseases and injuries. The operation is open 24/7 and the pace varies from day to day. Within specialized pediatrics 95 E, highly specialized investigations and treatments are carried out within our day care flow. We are a committed and multidisciplinary team with the sick child and family at the center. Our Operations On the urology unit 50C, patients with urinary tract diseases are examined, treated, and operated on. We are a surgical unit specialized in urology with both planned and emergency operations. Our elective operations focus on cancer diseases in the bladder, prostate, kidneys, and testicles. In our emergency flow, we handle, among other things, major kidney trauma, acute bleeding, sepsis, and acute injuries to the penis and testicles. We also operate on young adults with malformations in the urinary tract. We work in teams together with the patient. This means we focus on the person's unique needs, resources, and experiences, not just the disease. In your work, you will meet patients of different ages and in different situations, where you make a difference in their lives. The team on unit 50C consists of competent, friendly, and reliable colleagues who will welcome you quickly into the group. Your Assignment As a nurse, you work in a team with one or two nursing assistants. We have close collaboration with doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians, and pharmacists. The work tasks are varied; standard postoperative care, admissions and discharges, emergency care, care planning, and interventions for patients with complex care needs. You will be supported by our coordinating nurse who acts as a mentor and discharge coordinator. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a registered nurse, are responsible, thorough, and professional. You have previous experience in inpatient care or are newly graduated, you thrive in a learning culture, and you are innovative. You collaborate with others in a thoughtful and respectful way and are accommodating in your approach. You are flexible and have a good ability to adjust both pace and work tasks when the situation requires it.
