The position involves interpreting the relationships between rock properties, deformation, metamorphic conditions and geophysical response, as well as evaluating how laboratory measurements can be used to constrain and interpret seismic observations at field scale. You will also contribute to developing and validating transferable methods for exploration screening, assessment of target areas and decision support in collaboration with academic and industrial partners. The duties also include scientific publishing, presenting results at conferences and project meetings, project reporting and research data management. The position may also include limited participation in teaching and supervision of bachelor's and master's student projects (up to 20%). The position requires participation in fieldwork, laboratory investigations and project meetings, including travel within Sweden and internationally. Qualifications A doctoral degree in geophysics, rock physics, petrophysics, petrology, structural geology or a related earth science subject, or a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to such a doctoral degree. The Department of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology at Uppsala University has a broad research profile with strong research groups focused on, among others, cancer, genetic and autoimmune diseases.
