You will work closely with senior stakeholders and have the opportunity to influence decisions across the broader technology organization. About You We are looking for a senior engineer with a strong architectural mindset who enjoys solving complex problems and influencing others through technical expertise rather than formal authority. Experience with cloud environments, ideally GCP, and technologies such as Kubernetes and Terraform. Experience with or a strong understanding of Golang, TypeScript and/or React. Software Engineer, Customer Service Experience
General Description of the Role We are looking for a Frontend/Fullstack Software Engineer (frontend-heavy) to join our Customer Service Experience (CSX) team. CSX builds and operates the internal back-office tools that customer support and fraud prevention agents rely on every day to keep our marketplaces safe and efficient. You will work in an autonomous product team where your contributions have direct, visible impact. The team owns the full stack - from the React/TypeScript frontend built on our shared WARP design system (warp-ds.github.io/docs/), to the Kotlin backend powered by CQRS event sourcing and domain-driven design. We are in the process of expanding CSX into the central hub for all back-office UI and workflows across the organization, which means there is significant room to shape both the product and the technical direction. This is a hands-on engineering role in a team that values pragmatism, ownership, and shipping over process. You will collaborate closely with your Engineering Manager, Product Manager, Designer, and Engineering peers, with a short feedback loop from ideation to production. Main Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain user-facing features in the CSX domain - Including our React/TypeScript frontend as well as any other user interface solutions we deliver Ensuring a polished and efficient experience for our internal users Contribute to the Kotlin backend - building APIs, integrating with downstream services, and evolving our event-sourced architecture Take ownership of features end-to-end: from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring Collaborate with Product and Design to translate user needs into well-crafted solutions, using the WARP design system (warp-ds.github.io/docs/) as the foundation Improve developer experience, tooling, and code quality within the team Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for the services we own Contribute to the team's strategic evolution as CSX grows its scope to cover more back-office domains (moderation tools, claims handling, compliance workflows) Relevant Qualifications & Experiences Solid experience with modern frontend development: React, TypeScript, and component-based architectures Experience with backend development or willingness to learn Comfortable working across the full stack - you do not need to be an expert in everything, but you are curious and willing to go where the problem is Familiarity with modern development practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code review, trunk-based development Experience building internal tools or back-office applications Experience with design systems Personal Attributes Self-driven and comfortable with autonomy - you thrive in a small team where you own your work and make decisions Pragmatic problem solver who favors shipping over perfection, while maintaining quality where it matters Collaborative and communicative - you share context, ask for help, and give constructive feedback Curious about the domain and the users - you want to understand the "why" behind what you build Comfortable with ambiguity and change - CSX is evolving, and you see that as an opportunity rather than a risk Solution-oriented mindset - you think in terms of user outcomes, not specific technologies. While the current stack is React/TypeScript, you recognize that the best interface for a workflow might be a traditional UI, an AI agent, a CLI tool, or something entirely new Forward-leaning and eager to adopt new technologies - We always strive to raise the bar of what small teams can deliver and to solve our problems in the most efficient way possible. GOT YOUR ATTENTION? Apply now! We will review applications continuously as they come in. The deadline for this role is 30th August 2026 A few words from Engineering Manager, Alexander Thorén: "CSX is a highly specialized and fast-moving team, leveraging the bleeding edge of technology to deliver efficient workflows for our customer-service agents and internal users. Since our user base consists of our direct colleagues, we are able to stay highly innovative in how we deliver solutions. We have full control of our product and enjoy the trust from our users to ensure their work is as fast and efficient as possible. It's quite an exhilarating experience going from an idea to a full-fledged product feature within a day!" QUESTIONS? Alexander Thorén, Senior Engineering Manager, is happy to tell you more about the daily work and answer any questions you may have via LinkedIn / [email protected] At Vend, our mission is simple: Smart choices made easy. We're here to make sustainable living effortless through seamless digital experiences. As part of a dynamic family of marketplaces, including FINN, Blocket, Tori, Bytbil, Oikotie, Bilbasen, and DBA, we connect people with services and products that matter. Driven by purpose and curiosity, we constantly evolve to meet today's needs and shape a smarter, more sustainable tomorrow. At Vend, your time matters. We want you to explore new paths to smarter. Be curious with technology and lean forward. Dare to try, learn, and try again, as we innovate, grow and succeed together. Because your time matters. And when spent wisely, it creates value for you, for Vend, and society as a whole.
