About the workplace The Department of Laboratory Medicine (ILM) is one of seven departments at the Faculty of Medicine. We conduct leading research in the field of laboratory medicine with a focus on understanding disease development and improving diagnosis and treatment for patients. Some of our strongest research areas, with world-class operations, are cancer, genetics, and blood research. The Department has approximately 300 employees and an annual turnover of around 500 million kronor, the majority of which comes from external research grants.
