Today there are 15 operations within disability services; group homes, service housing, short-term care, day activities, and several personal assistance groups. JOB DUTIES In our group and service housing facilities under LSS, adults with functional variations live in their own apartments and have the opportunity for social interaction in common areas. You must have great flexibility in your work approach as your job duties vary from day to day. Creating and following routines and structures for and with the individual is essential in working with people with functional variations, which requires that you are able to set boundaries and be a source of security for the individuals. You are trained in a people-care profession, for example as a nursing assistant or caregiver, or have training that is considered equivalent. Experience working in operations for people with physical and mental disabilities is a merit. A B-category driver's license is required and manual transmission is a merit.
