In this role as supervisor in the VA Pipeline Network unit, you will have both personnel and operational responsibility for an area of responsibility that spans three municipalities: Hällefors, Ljusnarsberg, and Nora. You will work together with other supervisors and the unit manager, as well as administrative staff in the unit's management group. As a supervisor at VA Pipeline Network, you contribute to ensuring that municipal residents have access to their most essential resource, drinking water, and ensure that wastewater and stormwater are properly discharged. You do this by helping create a sustainable infrastructure over the long term. Your mission is to work together with your employees to make operations run as efficiently as possible and contribute to continuous development and a reliable water and wastewater system. Do you want to be part of this? 1 position(s). WORK TASKS You will lead an engaged group of four equipment operators and one day laborer. The role includes extensive planning and contact with contractors, as well as serving as project manager/work supervisor for internal water and wastewater projects. Your daily focus will primarily be on various types of operational disruptions in our existing pipeline network. You will work from our Water and Wastewater office on Stafettgatan in Lindesberg, while your subordinate staff will work from various locations in your responsible municipalities. You will lead employees and operations both in daily operative work and toward long-term goals. On-call duty may be part of the position. Your main work tasks include • having personnel and operational responsibility where you drive, develop, and follow up operations against set goals • having both long-term and short-term operational planning for efficient operations of subordinate staff • leading, supporting, and developing employee competencies • developing operations toward continuous quality improvement with a reliable water and wastewater system in focus • ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, guidelines, and procedures • creating a good work environment and contributing to making it an attractive workplace. QUALIFICATIONS As a supervisor at the Infrastructure Development Administration, you are driven by helping people grow through present leadership. A Class B driver's license is a requirement for the position, as we work across a large geographic area.
