Description Åsenskolan is a middle school located in central Filipstad. The school has approximately 210 students divided into four classes per grade level. Recreation Coordinator
Description We are seeking a person to replace our Recreation Coordinator during parental leave. The role includes primary responsibility for the Recreation Equipment Library and open recreation activities. Together with a Cultural Coordinator, you will be responsible for dialogue with local sports and community organizations. The position is based at the Recreation Equipment Library in Filipstad. From here, we provide support to sports and community organizations, which we collectively call organization services. You will work broadly with open activities within sports and outdoor recreation for promotion and prevention purposes. There is also a colleague who works on-site with equipment checkout and returns. You will also have access to an office space at Filipstad Culture & Conference where several other colleagues from the Culture and Recreation Administration are located. As we are a relatively small administration with several small operations, we often collaborate across departmental boundaries when extra resources are needed or during absences. Work is primarily during daytime hours, but activities on evenings and weekends may occur on special occasions such as school breaks. Work Duties You will organize and conduct school break and recess activities, outdoor days at schools, family activities, and more. You have primary responsibility for gym bookings and are the contact person for RF SISU. You are responsible for operating the recreation equipment library including equipment checkout, inventory management and receiving equipment, as well as seasonal changes with equipment display and maintenance. You will support the operations manager in announcing grant opportunities and processing activity grants, investment grants, and other support to sports and outdoor organizations. You are expected to write service memoranda and activity descriptions and will be co-responsible for an ESF project at the upper secondary school level, which includes administration and preparation of reporting materials in addition to practical activities. Qualifications We are seeking someone with post-secondary education relevant to the position. You are interested in public health issues, sports, and outdoor recreation and have experience from sports and community organizations. We would like you to have local knowledge of sports and community life. You have experience managing externally funded projects including results reporting. You have good computer skills and knowledge of office software. Experience working in administrative systems and with customer service is a merit. You have experience working with young people, ideally with a pedagogical background. A Class B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles is required.
