Description Åsenskolan is a middle school located in central Filipstad. The school has approximately 210 students divided into four classes per grade level. Åsenskolan strives to maintain small classes, developed student well-being support, and a safe schoolyard with the help of recess and well-being coordinators. The school also has an adapted primary school program and an after-school center. Approximately 40 dedicated staff members work at the school. Åsenskolan's after-school center is a small and very pleasant operation. Åsenskolan emphasizes preventive and promotional work based on the motto of knowledge, security, and well-being. Job Responsibilities As a recreation pedagogue/after-school teacher, you will work in the after-school center together with other staff, planning, implementing, and developing after-school activities in accordance with our governing documents. During the school day, you will have assignments based on your competencies and the operation's needs. This could include developing our recess activities or working together with teachers and students. You are expected to actively contribute with a solution- and results-oriented approach with students' needs at the center. Together we work to support and develop each other in our mission. You collaborate with colleagues, guardians, student well-being teams, and school leadership. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a pedagogical degree with a focus on after-school education. We expect you to be well-versed in the school's values and able to implement the curriculum in high-quality activities. You should be a clear and positive leader in working with children, with the ability to create a good and accessible learning environment. We place great importance on personal suitability and your flexibility, curiosity, positive attitude, and ability to contribute to a good work environment. We expect you to have good collaboration skills as well as the willingness and ability to participate in the after-school center's and school's systematic quality work.
