Do you want to work close to operations and combine business analysis with a strong interest in production and operational development? Are you a controller driven by understanding what lies behind the numbers and translating insights into concrete improvements? Then this could be the role for you. Our current controller is moving on to new challenges, and we're now seeking their successor. You'll become part of a competent and engaged finance department with eight employees, plus a CFO and IT function. Together, we support seven companies in Sweden, Norway, and Finland. We want to take our analyses, processes, and decision support to the next level by better utilizing our ERP system, developing our BI work, and using AI as a natural tool in our operations. About the Role This is a broad, operations-focused role where business controlling and production controlling meet. You'll become an important partner to the production manager/COO, site managers, and sales organization, helping them understand, monitor, and develop operations from a financial perspective. The role offers great variety. One day you'll dive deep into analyses of production results, capacity utilization, and manufacturing efficiency metrics; the next day you might lead a business review, participate in investment assessments, or support the sales organization with analyses on pricing, volume, and profitability. You'll work closely with production planners, site managers, and the sales organization, and are expected to take own initiative when identifying discrepancies or improvement opportunities. You're not expected just to report figures, but also to understand the reasons behind them and contribute to creating change. Examples of Key Responsibilities Analyze operational results, key metrics, and profitability Monitor production, capacity utilization, and financial outcomes Prepare decision support materials, business cases, and investment calculations Participate in business reviews with site managers and operational leads Support sales with analyses of pricing, volume, product and customer profitability Identify improvement areas and initiate activities for increased efficiency Develop reporting, dashboards, and KPI structures Contribute to digitalization, automation, and development of finance processes Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes Provide support to the organization on financial and business matters Participate in business cases for investments, acquisitions, or major initiatives Drive and coordinate cross-functional analyses between finance, production, and sales You report to the CFO, and the role involves regular travel to our facilities, with most located in Sweden but also operations in Norway and Finland. We believe in presence, both digitally and physically, and offer flexibility with the possibility to combine office and remote work. Suitable locations would be for example Dalarna, Närke, Värmland, or Gästrikland, but it's not decisive. What We're Looking For We believe you have several years of experience as a Business Controller, Production Controller, or in a similar operations-focused controller role within manufacturing or process industry. You're motivated by combining analysis, business understanding, and operational development. You have academic training in economics or equivalent and feel confident in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis work. You're experienced with ERP systems and have solid Excel skills, plus experience with BI and reporting tools. To succeed in this role, we see that you: Are analytical and curious and enjoy getting to the bottom of questions Can translate analysis into concrete recommendations and activities Thrive working both independently and together with the business Are communicative and pedagogical and can adapt your message to different audiences Have patience, drive, and the ability to build trusting relationships Are comfortable challenging, asking questions, and driving improvements Master Swedish and English well in speech and writing If you also have experience with investment and profitability calculations, product or customer profitability management, or developing analyses in Power BI, we see that as a plus.
