Librarian with Focus on Adult Programming
At Österlen, we create conditions for high quality of life where Tomelilla Municipality is a place for inspiration and development. The municipality has approximately 800 employees and we offer you excellent development opportunities, participation through trust, and the possibility of balance between work and leisure.
We are currently on a development journey with a focus on streamlining and improving our services. Our ambition is to be a leader in taking advantage of the opportunities that digitalization provides. In short—we will make it easy for everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Tomelilla Municipality.
Tomelilla Library consists of one main library and three branch libraries. All libraries have extended hours. The branches are located at the schools in Brösarp, Onslunda, and Smedstorp.
The main library is located in Tomelilla Cultural Center, which also houses an art gallery and school of visual arts. The proximity to each other makes it natural to carry out both spontaneous and more long-term collaborations. Each year, approximately 100,000 people visit the activities in and around the cultural center.
Tomelilla Library's operations are characterized by service spirit and development. The staff is a positive team of nine people who prioritize collaboration and flexibility to enhance the library's level of service. We push boundaries and dare to try new things.
This fall, a new library plan for 2027–2031 will be adopted. It provides us clear direction toward our democratic mission with Agenda 2030 as our framework. The following areas will be in focus in the coming years: Accessibility & Participation, Lifelong Reading & Learning, Art, Culture & Literature, and Preparedness
