JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We want to develop activities that make a difference, where the recreation center is more than just a meeting place. Through relationship-building work, participation, and close collaboration, we want to contribute to good conditions for children and young people in Tierp Municipality. Therefore, we are looking for you to help develop the recreation center activities of the future.
As a recreation leader in Tierp Municipality, you work to create a safe and meaningful leisure time for children and young people. You become part of an engaged team where you have the opportunity to build relationships, create participation, and together with colleagues develop activities where young people feel welcome, safe, and have the opportunity to have a say.
You are a trusted adult and an important part of the municipality's promotion, prevention, and crime prevention work. By building trusting relationships and collaborating with guardians, schools, social services, police, associations, and other stakeholders, you contribute to early interventions that strengthen children and young people's conditions for growing up.
You work to develop safe, inclusive, and attractive meeting places for children and young people, primarily ages 10-20. Together with colleagues, you plan, implement, and develop activities based on young people's needs and interests, with a focus on participation, influence, and meaningful leisure time.
The work is conducted at the municipality's four recreation centers in Tierp, Örbyhus, Söderfors, and Skärplinge, but also at other venues where children and young people gather. You contribute not only to the development of the recreation centers but also to the culture and leisure mission and development in the municipality.
As a recreation leader, your duties include planning and leading activities, developing the organization together with young people and colleagues, documenting and following up on work, and collaborating with various stakeholders regarding children and young people. Together with your colleagues, you are also responsible for ensuring that the recreation center facilities are welcoming, pleasant, and well-maintained. This means that practical work tasks, such as cleaning and preparing facilities, are a natural part of the work. The work is varied and involves shifts during the day, evenings, and weekends according to schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with education as a recreation leader, social pedagogue, social worker, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working with children and young people and a strong ability to create safe and trusting relationships.
You enjoy working both independently and with others, and you see collaboration as a natural part of the assignment. You are proactive, flexible, and want to contribute to developing activities based on children and young people's needs and interests. You have good digital skills and have a B driver's license.
