PhD Student in Engineering Physics
We conduct research and education in physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, technical design, engineering physics, and subject didactics in mathematics and natural sciences. Here you will find unique and world-leading research within the center formations FSCN Research Centre and Sports Tech Research Centre. At the research center Fibre Science and Communication Network (FSCN), research is conducted on advanced materials and process technology. The work is interdisciplinary and aims to develop resource-efficient processes and improve the functionality of bio-based materials and energy materials. Work Tasks The employment concerns own doctoral education, with research up to 100%. Teaching and administrative work may be included with a maximum of 20%. The current doctoral studies will be conducted within a project focused on the development of aluminum-based batteries, with focus on the electrolyte, positive electrode, and negative electrode. To advance the technology, a fundamental scientific understanding of these key components is required. A central goal is therefore to investigate the mechanisms for energy storage in aluminum batteries under varying operating conditions. As a PhD student, you conduct independent research under the guidance of your supervisors.
