Special Education Teacher, Ages 10 - 16
We are now seeking an engaged and certified special education teacher to our school in Sundbyberg. We are looking for someone who is passionate about special education, believes that every student can succeed and has the opportunity to reach their full potential. You are interested in developing and participating in the latest research on individualized learning. You enjoy working with students from different backgrounds as we are a multicultural school. As a person, you are independent but enjoy collaborating with others toward common goals and always try to find the right tools and solutions for our students. Part of your team will speak English, so it is important that you can communicate in both Swedish and English. You will work closely with student support services, our Academic Manager, and both assistant principals. You will be part of the SEN team (special education department). Your direct manager will be our Academic Manager who will support you in your role. Responsibilities - Work with students individually, in groups, and provide support in whole class settings. - Documentation in the ProRenata platform and in the form of pedagogical assessments as well as writing intervention programs based on student needs. - Work individually with students with special needs and students with problematic school absenteeism. - Communication with external stakeholders. - Observe lessons and provide guidance and support to teachers for students with individual accommodations. - Participate in meetings with guardians and other stakeholders for the student's benefit.
