We are looking for two nursing assistants for the special housing facility Älvgården in Backe and one nursing assistant for home care services in Rossön. The villages of Backe and Rossön are located approximately 4.5 mil east of Strömsund on the regional border between Jämtland and Västernorrland. 3 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nursing assistant, you work to support and help people in their daily life based on approved support decisions and individual care plans. The work is varied and includes: • Assist with practical household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, making beds, shopping, and cooking. • Provide personal care, for example help with hygiene, showering, toilet visits, dressing and undressing, hair care, and support during meals. • Contribute to a meaningful and active daily life through social interaction and activities, such as walks, games, or other individually tailored services. • Perform certain medical tasks, such as blood pressure checks, wound dressings, and medication administration following delegation and required training. Through on-the-job training, you will receive the knowledge needed to perform your tasks in a safe and professional manner and to follow the procedures and guidelines that apply at your workplace and within the municipality as your employer. Granbacken has 33 apartments distributed across three floors. At Granbacken, we maintain close and personal contact with each individual. To provide the best possible care around the clock, we have a dedicated staff of approximately 40 employees, consisting of nursing assistants and care attendants. We also work closely with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists who are connected to the facility. You will become part of a stable team where we help each other across departments when needed. 2 position(s). TASK RESPONSIBILITIES As a nursing assistant, you work by supporting people in their daily lives based on care decisions and implementation plans. The tasks are varied, but some of the most common work tasks are as follows. • Help in the home with cleaning and laundry, making beds, or shopping and cooking meals. • Personal care includes help with showers and toilet visits, dressing and grooming, or helping with meals. • Your role also includes enriching the daily lives of those you help through various activities. This could include extra social interaction, taking a walk, or playing games. Only your imagination sets the limits. • Medical tasks such as checking blood pressure, applying bandages, or administering medication. This does require delegation and is something you will learn over time. Through orientation at the workplace, you will be given the conditions to perform the work that the position requires and to follow the workplace rules that exist at the facility and in the municipality as your employer.
