JOB DUTIES Färsingaskolan is starting a crisis school and is looking for a certified teacher who wants to be part of building the program from the ground up. The crisis school is aimed at students in grades 7-9 at Färsingaskolan who, for a limited period, receive their instruction in a location other than the regular school environment. The goal is to ensure the student's right to education, create safety and a good study environment, and prepare for a successful return to regular schooling. The program is organizationally part of Färsingaskolan but operates in its own facilities centrally in Sjöbo. The crisis school is staffed by teachers and a social pedagogue, with close access to Färsingaskolan's student health services. As a teacher in the crisis school, you are responsible for instruction for students who are temporarily placed in the program. You plan, carry out, document, and follow up on instruction based on applicable guidelines and in close collaboration with the student's regular teacher and mentor. A central part of the assignment is to create a structured and predictable learning environment where the student can continue their academic development. Together with the social pedagogue, student health services, school management, and others involved, you also work to create good conditions for the student's return to regular schooling. The assignment includes, among other things: • conducting and adapting instruction based on the student's level of knowledge and needs • creating clear structures, safety, and a good study environment • monitoring and documenting the student's academic development • collaborating with the student's teachers, mentor, guardians, and student health services • when necessary, collaborating with external actors such as social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and police • together with other staff, developing the crisis school's procedures and practices. The number of students in the crisis school varies over time. When students are placed there, the program is your primary assignment. When occupancy is low or nonexistent, you work at Färsingaskolan, primarily supporting instruction based on your subject qualifications. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications for grades 7-9. We would appreciate if you have qualifications in one or more of the core subjects Swedish, Swedish as a second language, English, or mathematics. The subject combination is not decisive—for us, your pedagogical skills and ability to meet students with different needs are equally important. Qualifications in additional subjects, special education training, or other special education competence are merits. We would also like to see experience working with students in need of special support or students with challenges related to, for example, school absenteeism, safety, or study environment. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be a confident and clear leader who can combine high expectations with a relationship-building approach. You can quickly assess a student's level of knowledge, adapt instruction, and create structure even when conditions change. You also need to be comfortable working closely with others. In the crisis school, you never work alone with the student but together with other professionals. We are therefore looking for someone who is communicative, responsible, and solution-oriented and who sees collaboration as a natural part of the work. Because the program is new, we are also looking for someone who wants to contribute to its development. Here you will have the opportunity to be part of it from the beginning and together with us shape a program centered on the student's learning, safety, and continued schooling. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent employment. Work hours: Daytime. In preparation for the recruitment process, Sjöbo Municipality has carefully considered recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore firmly decline contact from media sales representatives, recruitment sites, and similar.
