Therapist for Children, Youth and Family Unit

Within our Individual and Family Care division, we have brought together social services authority functions and service providers along with the employment unit to create conditions for a more cohesive whole for those we serve, from preventive work to more coordinated and co-planning teams that can meet people with greater needs. The Children, Youth and Family Unit is one of IFO's nine units, which includes the BUF team (Children, Youth and Family team). We are now recruiting three therapists: two permanent positions and one one-year temporary contract for the BUF team. Responsibilities As a therapist, you will be part of a team providing psychosocial support and treatment services for children, young people, and families/parents within social services open care. As a therapist, you will meet with clients individually, in family constellations, and in various group interventions. Treatment work is primarily assignment-based and aims to strengthen individuals' and families' ability to live independently, based on a systemic holistic perspective and a solution-focused approach. Our work is primarily based on structured methods and interventions where we can meet the client's individual needs. We also provide certain group-level services without formal care decisions, to early meet our citizens' need for support and help. This part of the work will expand under the new social services law, meaning more and more services will be provided without needs assessment/decisions. Your main responsibilities will be implementing supportive, motivating, and therapeutic interventions with our clients. Plan, document, follow up, and evaluate our services. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with the individual's/family's best interests in focus. Your responsibilities also include contributing to the unit's and team's business development toward established goals. This may include, based on identified needs among our citizens, developing and structuring new service categories and forms of support and assistance. Qualifications: A degree in Social Work or other higher education deemed sufficient by the employer is required. Valid driver's license with at least category B is required.
