We are now recruiting 1-2 dedicated and goal-oriented support assistants/support staff for Stjärnbacken group home at 100% with start date by agreement. Work is performed during day/evening/weekend shifts and on-call nights.
The department is the third largest unit within the welfare administration with the task of implementing decisions made under the LSS law, primarily decisions regarding housing with special services, personal assistance, and daily activities. The goal of the support provided is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in community life so that the individual granted support has the opportunity to live like others.
Our work is carried out through individually designed support with high quality and self-determination, where good treatment permeates all activities. Stjärnbacken co-plans with Gullstigen's children's short-term and relief services, and a background check from the police register for work with children will be required.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for working together with the service user to establish and follow up implementation plans, other social documentation, and other administrative tasks/areas of responsibility such as scheduling, purchase orders, health and safety.
Together with your colleagues, you will carry out everyday and planned support services and activities with the service user, as well as support and motivate them in daily activities at home and during leisure time. This includes building trustful relationships with service users and being a good role model.
You will ensure that support services are based on the service user's individual needs, promote independence, participation, and are carried out with respect for the service user's integrity and self-determination. You help with, among other things, daily chores and activities, personal hygiene, and medication. The work often means you may work alone and working hours are varying as we provide services during day, evening, weekend, and night shifts.
You drive development work forward together with colleagues according to established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. Cooperation with the service user's network, other staff, and other partners is also an important part of the work.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a secondary school diploma in either the Care and Health Program with specialization in the program deepening in disability or psychiatry, Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, or other equivalent education or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
To work in care and health services, you must be at least 18 years old. It is important that you have the ability to professionally meet people based on their individual circumstances and needs. As a person, you are self-driven and stress-resistant with the individual in focus. You are empathetic and conscientious, and you work well with others. You have good social skills and enjoy working flexibly. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
The work requires sufficient knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing in order to, among other things, communicate with service users, perform care documentation, and obtain medication delegation.
By law, anyone working in activities with children under 18 years of age must present a valid extract from the police's criminal record register at the time of employment. You can order such an extract from the police.
