Urban Planning Director/City Architect
Description We are looking for a dedicated and strategic urban planning director who wants to lead the development of a sustainable, attractive, and growing Ljusdal. You will become a key person in the municipality's work to develop attractive living environments where people want to live, work, and thrive. Ljusdal is a municipality with great opportunities. The Urban Planning Unit is part of the Living Environment sector and is responsible for the municipality's work in physical planning, land matters, mapping and surveying, GIS, municipal ecology, and forest management. The unit consists of dedicated and competent employees who work together to develop Ljusdal municipality. As an urban planning director, you will be part of the Living Environment sector's management team and report directly to the sector manager. Within the Living Environment sector, activities that shape people's daily lives and the municipality's future are brought together – from urban planning, building and environment, as well as streets and parks, to libraries, culture and leisure activities. Together, we work to make Ljusdal an attractive place to live, work, do business, and visit. Responsibilities As an urban planning director, you are responsible for operations, personnel, economy, and work environment within the unit. The assignment involves leading and developing operations with a focus on quality, collaboration, and long-term perspective. You work both strategically and operatively and have an important role in the municipality's development work. Depending on your competence and experience, the assignment may also include responsibility for the municipality's city architect function and matters concerning design, architecture, and the quality of the built environment. Examples of responsibilities: Lead and develop the urban planning unit toward set goals. Drive and coordinate strategic issues within physical planning and community development. Provide qualified support to employees, managers, and politicians on planning and development issues. Contribute to the municipality's work on land strategy issues, housing provision, and sustainable growth. Represent the municipality in development projects, external collaborations, and networks. Ensure good service, high quality, and legally sound handling within the unit's areas. Respond for systematic work environment efforts, competence provision, and recruitment. Create conditions for engaged, involved, and well-being employees. We are looking for someone who has the ability to combine close and trusting leadership with strategic thinking. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: An academic degree in urban planning, physical planning, architecture, landscape architecture, community building, environment, engineering, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience from work within community building or urban planning. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Driver's license (category B). We would like you to have experience with strategic development work and to feel comfortable collaborating with many different stakeholders. Assistant Unit Manager - Temporary Position
Description As an assistant unit manager in municipal health and care services, placed in home care in Ljusdal Municipality, you will have a central role in supporting the unit manager in daily operational work. You are responsible for creating good working conditions for employees and ensuring smooth operations by managing everyday challenges and operational matters in home care. The position is time-limited during the recruitment period, three months with a possible chance of extension. The main task is to relieve the unit manager and provide support to the operations. Duties Support the unit manager in the daily management and operational control of home care within Ljusdal Municipality. Handle and resolve everyday operational and administrative issues that arise in the operations. Participate in planning and monitoring of resources to optimize the efficiency of operations. Administrative tasks such as routine handling, incident management, or administration of state grants. Qualifications You have experience and education in health and care services or elderly care, or alternatively have an education that the employer deems equivalent. It is meritorious to have management experience, preferably from care and health services. You hold a class B driver's license.
