About the Position Do you want to play an important role in Laholms Municipality's work to promote public health and community and prevent involuntary loneliness? Now you have the chance as we are recruiting an Activity Coordinator for the municipality's meeting points! Laholms Municipality has meeting points open to all seniors and daytime users at twelve locations in the municipality. The meeting points help seniors live an active and social life and are based on participation and engagement. The program offering is broad and includes physical activities, lectures, musical entertainment, cultural events, public information and social games. Visitors' wishes influence the program offering. As an Activity Coordinator, you are responsible for enabling activities in collaboration with other municipal operations, civil actors and others, as well as for marketing the program offering. You are the contact person for the volunteers engaged in the activities at the meeting points. There is an established collaboration with the Red Cross's visiting service. To develop the operations, you work strategically with a strong focus on needs assessment, networking, environmental monitoring, evaluation and marketing. In Laholms Municipality, public health work is organized through the Department of Community Development, Culture and Public Health. The Culture Unit is responsible for coordinating work on mental health. The task of preventing involuntary loneliness among seniors and responsibility for the meeting points is within the library's operations and you report to the Deputy Culture Manager/Library Director. Are You the Person We're Looking For? We are looking for you with higher education in public health, social work, nursing or other higher education that the employer considers relevant. We believe you have extensive experience meeting people in different life situations in previous work and have good knowledge of health-promoting work, preferably with the target group of seniors. Meritorious qualifications include: - experience with similar work tasks - experience with strategic public health work - experience collaborating with civil society The work requires: - that you are relationship-building and responsive - that you are flexible and take initiative - that you have good ability to structure and document your work - that you have good communication skills in speech and writing - that you have good IT skills A driver's license is a requirement.
