Social Psychiatry Case Officer

As a social psychiatry case officer, you will become part of the assistance unit within the social services department. The assistance unit has 11 case officers as well as family support coordinators and senior advisors. You will be part of a group of four case officers working with cases in social psychiatry and LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), with your primary focus being social psychiatry. As a social psychiatry case officer, you will receive and investigate applications for housing support and specialized housing. The assistance unit is led by a unit manager and team leader with many years of experience in case handling within the unit's area. We are now seeking a new colleague who wants to help develop our team. We are in an exciting position where the group consists of new case officers. This represents a unique opportunity for you who want to influence work methods, collaboration, and culture from the ground up. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a social psychiatry case officer, your task will be to investigate, assess, and make decisions on interventions according to the Social Services Act and to follow up on approved decisions. You will work with the target group of individuals with mental health issues and functional impairments. You will work closely with and maintain contact with other case officers in the unit, service providers, family members, healthcare services, and other stakeholders. You should independently monitor developments in your professional area and participate in the unit's development work. We want you to thrive, develop, and succeed in your assignment. We therefore provide close support from colleagues, team leaders, and managers. We also invest in skills development to create conditions for you and your colleagues to succeed in working toward our goals. This includes both internal and external skills development to keep us updated on current legislation and case handling according to the Individual's Needs in Focus (IBIC) method. In recent years, we have invested in raising competence within IBIC to ensure that all individuals we meet are involved in investigations regarding interventions. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is skilled at meeting people in different life situations. You are courageous and good at handling various situations that may arise in these encounters. You can also be flexible and find solutions with the individual at the center. Other qualities we consider important are that you are responsible, that you can work independently and prioritize, and that you are confident in making decisions. You have a degree in social work or another education deemed equivalent. You have experience in case handling within the Social Services Act and LSS. As an LSS case manager, you will investigate all LSS services, across all age groups. The unit is led by a unit manager and group leader with many years of experience in case management within the unit's area. We are now seeking a colleague who wants to help develop our team. We are in an exciting situation where the group consists of new case managers. This presents a unique opportunity for you if you want to influence working methods, collaboration, and culture from the ground up. 1 position(s). It is meritorious to have experience working with people with disabilities, training and experience in IBIC, the Life Care management system, and knowledge in MI.
