Accountant with a View to Chief Financial Officer – Klippans Bruk in Klippan

You'll start close to day-to-day accounting and progressively take on more responsibility as you develop. About the role As an accountant at Klippans Bruk, you'll step into a broad and business-focused role at a small mill where the accounting function sits close to both management and operations. You'll work together with an experienced colleague who currently manages accounting, and you'll share responsibility for the company's ongoing work – from daily bookkeeping and financial statements to reporting results to the board. Because the office is small, you'll quickly get a complete picture of the business and a great opportunity to make an impact. The idea is that you'll start with daily accounting tasks and progressively take on more responsibility as you grow into the role. Eventually, the goal is for you to advance to Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for leading the accounting function, ensuring financial statements and reconciliations, driving budget and forecast work, and providing management with analyses that support business decisions. You'll work with, among other things, the Office Suite, Excel, and the accounting system Pyramid. Summary of tasks: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and present statements at board meetings Approve payments and transfers at the bank Assist with ongoing bookkeeping Be backup for payroll management (payroll is currently handled externally) Progressively take on more responsibility with a view to a role as Chief Financial Officer About you We're looking for someone who is analytical and unpretentious, with a drive to learn new things.
