Your role
As a substitute special education teacher you support students in grades 4–9 with special focus on Swedish and mathematics. You work both individually and in groups to give each student the right conditions to reach their goals and develop their potential.
The role includes:
planning, implementing and following up special education interventions based on students' needs in Swedish and mathematics
working closely with class and subject teachers to develop accessible learning environments
creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment for students in need of extra adjustments or special support
collaborating closely with other members of the student support team
building good relationships with students, guardians and colleagues
actively contributing to the school's development work around its own support mission

Your competence and experience
We're looking for you who:
have teacher certification with a special education teacher degree (alternatively a student in a special education teacher program with relevant specialization) and qualification in Swedish and/or mathematics
have experience with special education work in primary school
work consciously to create structure, good study conditions and positive relationships
have strong ability to meet students with different backgrounds and adapt teaching accordingly
It's meritorious if you have:
experience working in socioeconomically mixed areas
experience working systematically with follow-up, assessment and analysis of students' needs and results
