Family Home Inspector - Emergency and Family Care, Stockholm City

The Social Services Administration in Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the disability services area. Here we create good conditions for meeting residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equitable, and knowledge-based social service with a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures are offered to the city's residents, and the offerings change based on Stockholmers' needs and the district administrations' requests. Work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business sector. The Social Services Administration is also responsible for the city's catering and tobacco permits and performs inspections. Your role You work based on existing legislation and knowledge support and value evidence-based practice. In your role, you are responsible for recruitment and initial assessment of families' general suitability to become emergency or family homes. This is done by receiving incoming applications of interest, conducting investigative conversations, and compiling information in family home investigations. Since the assignment is being built up, you will be part of developing and testing the new working methods. The role involves close cooperation with the district administrations' family home units. To thrive in the role, we see that you care about providing good service and can convey and generate interest among families about the assignment as an emergency or family home. The work group also conducts basic training called "A Home to Grow In" for all of the city's emergency and family homes. You are comfortable speaking to groups and can convey information in an accessible way while engaging and contributing to a safe conversation climate. We are looking for you who can contribute and realize ideas and innovative thinking because the operations are constantly developing. Together with your colleagues, you will be a driving force in moving the work forward. Your main work tasks include: updating and handling cases obtaining information and making assessments conducting investigative conversations and compiling investigations documenting according to practice cooperating with district administrations' family home services participating in recruitment events Your competence and experience Work as a family home inspector requires that you have the ability and enjoy independently and structurally planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You thrive working together with colleagues and being part of a team. You are service-oriented, comfortable cooperating with other professionals, and can relate to others in a responsive way. You demonstrate understanding and respect for people's different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations. You enjoy managing large amounts of information and then structuring it into finished materials for the district administrations to review. You are good at administration and see it as necessary for good work and final results. For this position, you must have: a degree as a social worker (socionom) at least three years of current experience in public authority work with focus on investigation, in the area of children and youth good knowledge of the needs of placed children experience working with emergency homes and/or family homes good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Class B driver's license It is advantageous if you have: work experience from Stockholm City training and experience investigating family homes experience recruiting emergency and family homes training as an instructor for "A Home to Grow In." The emergency and family homes and short-term stay area is part of the Social Services Administration's department for social support. The area is a city-wide resource that provides services related to placed children and youth and support for emergency and family homes and adoptive parents. The emergency and family homes and short-term stay area consists of five units. Of these units, one focuses on recruitment, training, and placement of emergency and family homes and one unit focuses on support and supervision for the same target group as well as for adoptive families. Within the three units are short-term accommodations and camps. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Interviews may begin before the application deadline has expired. Business travel occurs. Class B driver's license is required. In connection with employment, you will be asked to provide an extract from the police criminal record register. Stockholm City practices competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
