Welcome to us
Hästhagsskolan is a school for grades F-9, including adapted primary school, with a maximum capacity of approximately 700 students. The school is located in Farsta, in close proximity to the city center, public transportation and green spaces.
We collaborate with other schools in Farsta to provide equivalent education in a safe environment. We want our school to be the best option and the natural choice for all children and young people living in our neighborhood, and the best school for all students who attend here!
We are now looking for three student assistants at 75% for various assignments at the school during autumn 2026, starting already at the beginning of the school year in mid-August.
What we offer
You will have the opportunity to work at a school in new, fresh facilities and join a staff group with a good work climate and a strong desire to collaborate to achieve common goals.
Your role
As a student assistant, you work with helping students who for various reasons need support to keep up with instruction and the school's other activities. The work aims to help students, to the greatest extent possible and based on their own abilities, develop in accordance with the goals of education.
Your work includes supporting students in the classroom with instruction as well as during breaks, physical education, in the cafeteria, etc.
You work closely with the teaching teachers where you both receive instructions and collaborate on how the work should be performed. The work takes place both independently and together with others on the staff.
Together with teachers and other staff at the school, you work to create a developmental, meaningful and positive environment for the students. Care and supervision of students are other important parts of the assignment. The work tasks are varied, diverse and sometimes challenging.
We are now looking for three student assistants for various assignments during the spring:
1. Student assistant for two middle school students who previously attended adapted primary school but now attend regular primary school. The students have significant needs for support in instruction and in social interaction.
2. Student assistant for two upper secondary students, one of whom needs support in schoolwork and the other primarily has motor challenges and needs support for certain transfers, changes of clothes, etc.
3. Student assistant for two upper secondary students, one of whom has diabetes, for which knowledge and experience of working with students with diabetes is desirable for this position. The other student has significant needs for support in schoolwork and especially in theoretical subjects.
Your competence and experience
For all positions, it is required that you are secure, trustworthy and understand the importance of being an adult role model. You have experience handling conflicts and working with children/students with challenging behaviors. You can work independently and take initiative. In your interaction with students and guardians, you are clear and attentive to the students' needs. You have good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing.
We also want you to have good experience supporting students in instructional situations and have good pedagogical competence.
We are looking for you who want to and can build relationships with students, believe that every student can reach their full potential and want to work to promote their independence. You are professional, have good judgment and can set boundaries. You are empathetic and use a low-affect approach when interacting with students.
You are calm, secure and stable and find it easy to collaborate with others. You have good communication skills with students, colleagues and guardians. We place great importance on personal suitability.
When applying, we ask that you indicate which of the above positions you are applying for.
