We are looking for an engaged vocational instructor in health care and social services for our Adult Education program. We need professional and motivated staff to deliver high-quality welfare services. Adult Education is part of Kompetenscentrum, which consists of close collaboration between school, the labor market, integration, and subsistence support. We educate students in SFI, municipal adult education at basic level as well as upper secondary level, and we offer vocational and apprenticeship training in collaboration with the Gothenburg region (GR). Within our local Health Care and Social Services College, we have close cooperation with the activities in which we train our students. We monitor developments affecting the health care and social services sector to be able to develop our programs based on industry needs. At adult education, we work together in work teams, and this position means you become part of the vocational instructor team. Duties As a vocational instructor at adult education, you have an important role in supporting and teaching students through their education, and you work both individually and together with colleagues to shape teaching for all our students in health care and social services. We offer programs for Nursing Assistant, Care Assistant, and validation training in elderly care and support services. This position includes teaching in our regular Nursing Assistant program but also includes teaching in validation training and practical validation work in workplaces. The work therefore includes close collaboration with the workplaces where students complete parts of their education. As a vocational instructor at adult education, you have great opportunities to develop our various forms of training in the field based on your interests, for example in training supervisors for nursing assistant students and various forms of validation. We use Office365 (Teams) as our learning platform and Edlevo as our student system. We welcome applicants who have experience with these systems as well as experience with digital work and/or distance teaching. Qualifications You hold teaching certification and have professional experience in health care and social services in a hospital. You are qualified to teach in the subjects Anatomy and Physiology and Health and Medical Care. You have worked with adult education at the upper secondary level and with validation.
