Lunds Fordonstekniska Gymnasium is an independent upper secondary school located at Gastelyckan in Lund with approximately 70 students. Since 2003, we have been educating future automotive technicians within the Vehicle and Transport Program. We are now seeking an engaged substitute teacher to provide instruction in core subjects within automotive technology. In addition to teaching and planning, your responsibilities include mentoring and collaboration with colleagues in work teams. You will have considerable freedom to design your instruction in ways that develop and challenge your students. We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and certification to teach automotive technology with a focus on passenger vehicles at the upper secondary level. Because we recognize that the supply of qualified teachers is limited, we also welcome applicants with broad experience and knowledge from the automotive industry who are enthusiastic about education and enjoy teaching young people. Desired qualifications include: extensive professional experience from the automotive industry, interest in modern technology and developments in the automotive sector, basic knowledge of electronics and related interests. A Class B driver's license is a requirement for the position, along with strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, both written and oral. As a person, you are organized, engaged, flexible, have good collaboration skills, and a positive attitude. You are a natural leader in the classroom and can both encourage and challenge students.
