Your responsibilities
In your role as a vocational teacher, you will teach and mentor students in the electrical and energy program. You will teach subjects in automation or electrical engineering, depending on your expertise. Your position will be matched to our existing team competencies. Part of the work also involves organizing workplace learning placements for students. An extensive network of contacts among companies in Västmanland is an advantage, as each student completes at least 16 weeks of workplace-based learning.
As a teacher in the Electrical and Energy Program, you will be part of a teaching team and have responsibility for mentoring. One of the most rewarding parts of the job is your meetings with students, where you have the opportunity every day to influence, engage, and motivate them.
Your qualifications
We're looking for someone with a vocational teacher degree or other experience deemed relevant for the position. You have good professional experience in electrical engineering and/or automation technology and a strong ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You can make workplace learning visits and maintain contact with placement sites. We also want you to have knowledge of using computers in your daily work. Experience in teaching and holding teacher certification is seen as advantageous.
As a person, you have good pedagogical insight, you are confident and stable, and you work well with other people. You enjoy leading, motivating, and supporting others so that together you can reach common goals in an effective way.
