Mölndal city is proud to offer Sweden's most important jobs where we together create the best possible everyday life for our residents. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's everyday lives every day! The Social and Labor Market Administration provides Mölndal residents with support, security, and new opportunities. The Administration is responsible for individual and family care, refugee reception, and labor market initiatives. Our ambition is that every resident in Mölndal feels seen and secure, and can rely on their rights being protected. Through collaboration, courage, and attentive service, we want to help Mölndal residents live an independent life and have the opportunity to build their future. Together with other actors, we work toward a sustainable society with a strong focus on early intervention and prevention. We want to be a social service that is present where Mölndal residents are. The Adult Unit, which is part of the Social and Labor Market Administration, meets adult Mölndal residents with support needs related to harmful use and addiction, comorbidity, criminality, and other psychosocial issues. We are in an exciting development phase with the implementation of new social services legislation and the upcoming new comorbidity reform. The reform means responsibility for treatment transfers to the region, while the social services' mission is clarified regarding support, housing, and employment. The Adult Unit now has an open position as a social worker for the target group 25 years and older. We are looking for someone driven to work with this target group and who wants to help our clients achieve maximum independence and increase their empowerment. The Adult Unit works with both authority functions and service delivery and consists of approximately 30 employees. We currently have seven social workers working with the target group 25 years and older. Other unit members work in our reception function, with young adults (18-24 years), and with support and housing services. On the unit, we work closely together with close management consisting of two unit managers, two senior social workers, and a methodology supervisor. We have broad expertise and diverse backgrounds, but share strong commitment and good collegial support. We offer, among other things, external process supervision, gym access, flexible working hours, and a generous health and wellness allowance. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a social worker on the Adult Unit, you work with investigating applications and reports mainly concerning harmful use and addiction and comorbidity, but also other psychosocial issues in adults. The work is based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Care of Substance Abusers in Certain Cases (LVM). You investigate needs and determine eligibility for assistance and follow up on interventions in the form of outpatient care and 24-hour care. Your role includes support and motivation work and following up on received reports in ongoing cases. As a social worker with us, you collaborate extensively, both internally and externally. In our cases, we work closely with our own outpatient care service, which provides treatment, care and support coordination, and supported housing. We work based on the principle of "home first," which means more services should be provided in the home. Other collaboration occurs with economic assistance, labor market units, and the care and services administration. We offer Housing First. We collaborate with healthcare, including by offering ACT-crisis teams and through collaboration with both primary care and specialized care. QUALIFICATIONS You should have a degree in social work or another higher education degree that the employer considers equivalent. We hope you have previous work experience with authority functions within social services and experience working with people with addiction issues and comorbidity. It is an advantage if you have experience working with sociopsychiatric issues. We would appreciate if you have training in ASI, Freda, and MI, as well as in the documentation system treserva. The ability to express yourself in speech and writing is of great importance as an important part of the work consists of documentation and investigation work. A driver's license is required. In this role, it is important that you are self-directed while also enjoying collaboration with colleagues and contributing to a good work environment. You work in a structured manner but also have the ability to be flexible when operations require it. We value participation and collaboration to create the best possible conditions for both clients and employees. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement. We see diversity as a strength and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds. We want to inform you that your application is public information according to the principle of public access. If you have protected personal data, you should NOT apply through the system but contact the responsible recruiting manager for handling your application. Contact information can be found in the announcement. Before any potential employment, we will verify citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to provide a valid residence/work permit or prove that you are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Background checks may be conducted before employment. In certain positions, digital identification (e.g., BankID) is required to perform work tasks. The identification is used only to confirm your identity in the systems. In preparation for the recruitment process, we have made decisions regarding recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore firmly decline contact from media salespeople, recruitment websites, and similar parties.
