Together we create welfare and a functioning society that is equal and fair for everyone who lives and stays in the municipality. We proudly say that we have Sweden's most important jobs! That's a good starting point for making a workday with us feel meaningful.
The youth center is centrally located in Kramfors and serves young people between 11-18 years old with the aim of creating meaningful leisure time for this target group—both at and outside the youth center.
Now we're looking for you to work as a part-time youth leader with us!
1 position(s).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a youth leader, you inspire and challenge young people to realize their ideas and support them in being active participants in creating meaningful leisure time. You support young people in their interests while also showcasing the range of activities available in Kramfors and the surrounding area.
The work includes collaborating with external partners such as schools, associations, and outdoor recreation activities. Together with young people and other youth leaders, you plan and conduct leisure activities with a special focus on open programs, group activities, and outreach work.
You have a natural coaching and supportive approach and work to strengthen young people's participation, influence, and civic engagement. Building good relationships with guardians, police, social services, and other support networks for young people is an important part of your role.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is trained as a youth leader or has equivalent training that the employer considers equivalent. Previous experience working with children and young people, including through volunteer work, is a plus. Knowledge of norm criticism, equality, and participation is a great advantage. We view experience and/or knowledge in coaching and motivational conversations as positive.
As a person, you are creative, enthusiastic, positive, affirming, responsive, and engaged. You are encouraging toward young people's ideas and have the patience and drive required to help them put their ideas into practice. You enjoy working in a varied and flexible environment where you need to be solution-focused and action-oriented.
Good Swedish language skills are required. If you are multilingual, we view that as an advantage.
A driver's license (Category B) is required.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date according to agreement.
To ensure quality in the recruitment process and enable good communication with our applicants, we ask that you submit your application digitally and not via email or paper format.
Include reference number and salary expectations in your application. References will be provided upon request, and for certain positions in the municipality's operations, an extract from the criminal record is required. Several positions in our municipality are classified as security-sensitive, so security vetting may be conducted.
We have done our best in recruitment efforts and therefore ask that we not be contacted by recruitment service providers.
Warmly welcome with your application to one of Sweden's most important jobs!
