Description Working as a temporary staff member within the Social Services Department in Säffle Municipality gives you the opportunity to positively impact other people's daily lives every day. Our target group consists of adults with mental health issues/illness, harmful substance use and addiction problems, and comorbidity. Do you want a rewarding side job and work when it suits you? Then you should apply to us! We are now looking for temporary hourly staff for our Social Psychiatry units in Säffle Municipality. Within social psychiatry, there is a special residential facility for people with mental health disabilities and/or comorbidity, a housing support team, and an activity center called Smedjan. The housing support team and activity center Smedjan are daytime units, Monday-Friday. Nytorgets Residence is a 24-hour operation with awake night service. As a temporary staff member in social psychiatry, you will be assigned by our staffing unit, which will book you for available shifts. Job Responsibilities Job responsibilities vary depending on which unit you are working at, but what is common is working to build good and trusting relationships, offering support, and creating continuity based on individual needs. Housing support primarily involves motivation and support in the home. As a housing support worker, you visit our clients at their homes and, in a pedagogical and motivating manner, support them in planning and structuring their daily lives. We assist our clients with daily tasks, planning shopping, various errands, contacting authorities and healthcare providers, and when needed, accompanying them to scheduled appointments. The main responsibilities at Nytorgets Residence consist of client-facing work in the form of individually tailored support such as psychosocial support, structure, activities of daily living (ADL), medication distribution, and some nursing care. You will also be involved in managing daily household tasks and other common duties at a residential facility. The main work takes place in residents' apartments, but you will also provide support during visits and errands outside the home, such as at healthcare facilities and meetings with authorities. At the activity center Smedjan, the goal is to offer meaningful activities and social interaction. The main purpose is to support and develop the client's strengths through individually adapted work tasks. We work in close collaboration with the other units within social psychiatry and with the municipality's employment office. What is common for all units is that the work is very varied and stimulating and requires the ability to work flexibly and independently. Documentation in our Lifecare system is part of all operations. We also work together with our two nurses who are part of the social psychiatry team, as we view ourselves as one team around each individual. For more information about our services, visit: https://www.saffle.se/omsorg-och-stod.html Qualifications We are looking for someone who has/is: Good Swedish language skills, spoken and written Category B driver's license Previous experience working in the field of psychiatry Trained treatment assistant, social worker, or similar education Nurse assistant with a focus on psychiatry Or ongoing education in any of the above Meritorious: Training in low-arousal confrontation, MI, or RACT (care and support coordination), ESL, etc. You should have a genuine interest in working with people, be willing to take on new challenges, and want to gain new experiences for your future. Since we work with people, it is important that you have good interpersonal skills and a good ability to collaborate. You are reliable, take responsibility for your work tasks, and can take your own initiative. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. We welcome applications from both men and women.
