Do you want to do something meaningful and fulfilling?
We are currently seeking substitute teachers for our preschools and elementary schools in Bjästa, Köpmanholmen, and Sidensjö. Whether you're between jobs, studying, or curious about working with children and youth, this could be the perfect assignment for you.
About the Job
As a substitute, you'll step in where needed – sometimes on short notice – and support wherever regular staff are absent. You may work in both preschool and elementary school, with children of different ages and in various activities.
No two days are the same, and every day you play an important role in children's safety, learning, and joy.
We're Looking for You If
You are at least 18 years old
You have a high school diploma or equivalent
You have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
You are responsible and curious
You enjoy working with children and youth
Have you worked in a school or preschool before? Are you studying to become a childcare provider, preschool teacher, or teacher? That's a great plus – but what matters most is that you want to contribute your time, your commitment, and your calm presence.
Why You Should Apply
You'll gain valuable work experience
You'll make a difference in children's daily lives
You'll gain insight into what it's like to work in a school or preschool
You'll have the chance to grow – both personally and professionally
This is a perfect side job if you want to do something meaningful and fulfilling, whether you're a student, between jobs, or want to try something new!
In case of employment, you will need to provide a criminal record certificate.
Welcome to apply today – we look forward to hearing from you!
At the Education Administration, we work to create good conditions for every child and student's learning, development, and creativity. We want to create a safe and inspiring learning environment where the desire to learn is in focus and where children, students, and staff meet each other with respect.
During the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents are passports, international ID cards, driver's licenses + personal certificates from the Swedish Tax Agency, or other ID documents that verify citizenship. For certain positions, a criminal record and suspect register extract from the police must be provided. We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sámi varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sámi administrative areas.
In our municipality, a number of positions are classified as security-sensitive, so security clearance may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
