Folkhögskolan Skurup och Fridhem is seeking substitute teachers for SFI and General courses in Malmö. This is a unique opportunity for you as a teacher student to start gaining teaching experience. As a substitute teacher, you will have the opportunity to substitute for both SFI and General courses (Swedish as a second language, social studies, mathematics, science, English) when regular staff are absent. This can be single substitute assignments due to parental leave or illness, but also longer assignments such as vacation or sick leave. We are also now seeking substitutes who want summer substitute work during summer 2027. We would like you to get to know the activities during the school year so you can have your own class in the summer. Needs vary from week to week. You should be available to work between 2-5 half-days per week. Classes are primarily scheduled for mornings 09:00-12:30, but also afternoons 13:00-15:30. You should be available to be called in the same morning and be able to accept at least two shifts per week. We would like you to be studying teacher education and have Swedish as a second language as one of your subjects, or have good insight into working with students with Swedish as a second language. You should have good social skills and teaching experience is a merit. As a substitute with us, you will teach in an inclusive folk high school environment and you will have the opportunity to develop your didactic skills with support from competent teacher colleagues. You will always have the opportunity to shadow the regular teacher if needed and can receive support in lesson planning from the teaching team.
