Description Glöstorpsskolan is a grades 4-9 school. The school has capacity for 720 students and opened in August 2021. The school includes two special education instruction groups (level 2), Nova and Nedergård. The facilities are modern and functional, and we have a large and beautiful schoolyard. We are now seeking a Swedish teacher for grades 7-9 for a substitute position extending through 6/18-2027. Job Responsibilities We are now seeking a teacher who wants to instruct our students in grades 7-9 in Swedish. You will be part of one of the school's work teams, grades 7-9, where you will also serve as mentor for approximately 12 students of various ages. As a teacher at Glöstorpsskolan, you will have the opportunity to work in different teams where you collaborate on student matters, planning, and assessment. We are seeking someone who is change-oriented and takes a holistic approach to leadership. Qualifications To apply for this position, you must have teaching certification with authorization to teach Swedish in grades 7-9. You are a responsible and change-oriented teacher with a passion for teaching who always keeps student learning at the center, and your approach demonstrates a strong belief that all students can succeed if they are able to. You can, want to, and allow yourself and others to be part of collegial learning to enhance the quality of instruction for all students, which in turn leads to increased goal achievement for the whole school. Your interest in each student means you consciously adapt content and methods of instruction for each situation. You demonstrate a strong ability to improve student academic results and have a keen interest and commitment to developing instruction. You also have the ability to build good relationships with students, making you and your team the most powerful tool for maintaining both safety and a productive learning environment both inside and outside school. You employ varied instruction that includes all students and are ready to try and continually reassess your methods to meet the needs of the group your work team is responsible for.
