Österåkers municipal schools work to ensure that every student succeeds optimally based on their conditions. To work in this spirit, we operate a central student health organization in the municipality. This is to increase equality and ensure the quality of student health in all schools. Central coordination clarifies the mission and enables support and development for the different professions in the student health teams at the schools. In the student health teams, school counselors, school psychologists, school nurses, special educators and special education teachers all work on behalf of the principal in close collaboration with the school principal and the leadership of central student health. Your new job The counselors collaborate with the principal at the school but have an assistant student health director as their immediate supervisor. Routines, methods and working practices are centrally organized in collaboration with all relevant professions and the counselor group maintains close contact with each other and other personnel within student health. Student health is the part of the school's organization that is responsible for ensuring that students have as well-functioning a teaching situation as possible. Activities should be based on scientific grounds and/or proven experience and should primarily conduct health-promoting and preventive work. As a counselor, your task is to, based on your competence, create the best possible conditions for students' health, development and learning. The work is conducted in collaboration with the leadership of central student health, school management and other student health personnel. The work also involves collaboration with students, guardians, school staff and organizations and authorities outside the school. The position is 75% at Sjökarbyskolan which is a preschool-6th grade school. Your profile We are looking for a counselor with high competence and great commitment to our students' well-being and who possesses the following competencies and experience: Adequate social worker education Willingness to work actively to help our students achieve their learning goals. Ability to work independently. Knowledge of and preferably experience in developing educational activities. We also hope that you are resourceful, flexible and have good collaboration skills.
